it took me about 90 seconds to warm up to Gradius, then I was good to go. :P

PuzzLoop 1 seemed a bit naff at first, but it's quite rewarding when you get into it..maybe not at Tetris level but it is fun.

Donkey Kong was another one hard to find in the arcades, so always went with roc n rope. Having watched king of Kong in recent year I put some effort in and it's quite rewarding.

Donkey Kong is one of the best games ever. Anyone that disagrees still needs to warm up to it.

Borderlands. Never got into it back in the day because I was playing everything else. Got a free copy of the first PS3 game a couple years ago, thought I'd play it for a few hours, fast forward weeks and I had gone through it twice for max level. Bought Borderlands 2 digital for like $5 and still playing it, shame but I heard the 3rd game is absolute trash so I'll avoid it

Borderlands 3 is awesome, it has the weakest story tho, still very good. If you liked the others youll love it.

Pre-sequel is the best imo, havent played tiny tinas, cant stand that stupid character yapping away, to base a whole game around an extremely annoying side character is baffling to me..

Is Pre-Sequel good? I always thought it was just some mini game cash in. If it feels more like 1 than 2 I might grab it, I thought 1 was less complicated than 2 which I normally prefer

They get progressivly more complicated as you go, which I think is the charm of the series, working out mechanics and multipliers to create op builds.

Story wise i thought presequel was the best, it had the best balance of gameplay and story interwoven i thought.

Its a standalone game, not sure why they called it that, seems like it proboably hurt marketing for it.

It took a while to warm up to Tekken series coming from Virtua Fighter. It looked like a button mashing festival and the lack of a guard button put me off. Eventually, I started to apreciate the games and played Virtua Fighter 4 and Tekken 5 in parallel.

Trying not to trigger cools but I'll say new Zealand story and even still I won't go out of my way to play it although I did eventually realise it's quiet good

As a fighting game Tekken is just better than VF period, always was, and I like both. VF was more a product of its time with the graphics people weren't used to seeing. The first time I walked up on a VF3 cabinet my jaw dropped a little, and of course tumbleweeds as no one was playing it. Even Tobal No.2 was a better fighter than VF stuff at the time imo

Tekken was never better, and lost the plot when they introduced rage and all that other stupid **** in Tekken 6. And there's no such game as "Tobal No.2" :awe: :awe: :awe:

And Borderlands isn't an arcade game :awe: :awe: :awe:

Plenty of people in here talking about console games before me. Shall I stop posting so you only have Mortal Kombat to talk about?

Virtua Fighter is too good, that no one ever wanted to play it

And yes, it's Tobal No.2, because I play it on my PSP while taking a no. 2
