Re: LBGTPVM
Is this thread only for PVMs ? I have a 21" Pelco professional monitor which only accepts composite and S-video signals, the later being an excellent choice. I have my RPi hooked up with VGA666 and RGB output, going into a WeiYa CGA to S-video converter and the image quality is pretty good! I will try to post some pics tomorrow

Found a home for my BVM-14F1 at long last. Here's a few shots of it in action.

Re: LBGTPVM
I own a couple of PVMs, but my absolutely favourite is my faithful Sony 2130QM, aka The Cube. It's from '86, so relatively early technology, but the product design (it's a perfect square, with black handles set into the frame for ease of carrying, speakers that tuck away into the frame and hang stowed, and those gorgeous Blade Runner sidelights) coupled with the high contrast screen means that it's the one I keep out, with my much newer 20L4 as the back-up.
Anyhow, I recently found the manual for The Cube online, and saw that it came with an optional upgrade for the speakers, to the APM-X5A, which was Sony's attempt at an audiophile set of speakers. Unbelievably I found a NOS pair on eBay, and have hooked them up the The Cube. It sounds absolutely killer, and I love the look of them, so if anyone has this model set I highly recommend the upgrade. Here are a few pics.

Re: LBGTPVM
I have the big brother of that monitor, the 2730QM. It is a gorgeous monitor.
Anyway, I always thought the stock speakers were surprisingly good.

Re: Gief's BVM envy thread
Picked up a 20M4 off eBay, it’s not a proper BVM, but it’s still very decent

Re: Gief's BVM envy thread
just looked at 20m4 on eBay pricier than I was expecting
I spent way too long adjusting that screen when I got it and still wasn't happy
