Re: Sanwa PFX GET! (Sometimes I think I'm the luckiest guy...)
Yesterday I pulled the PFX out of the blast city and back-mounted the monitor frame. Doing so sunk it back about 3/4" making it so the bezel cleared the highest point of the monitor! Now the bezel fits, just need to add some black foam to take care of the gaps.
FINALLY here's those pics everyone's been waiting for. The cross hatch tests are both 15khz and 31khz. If anyone is that interested, I can pull one up for 24khz, however I'd rather not lug out the Model 3 setup :p

I just bought one of these. It's going in my horizontal Blast. How did you guys connect 15 khz RGB on it, via the VGA plug ? Does the chassi autoswitch by itseft ? Pic of the 15khz wiring would be nice

I'm using the vga cable, plugged on a jvs2jamma board, as sold by river service.Coryoon wrote:I just bought one of these. It's going in my horizontal Blast. How did you guys connect 15 khz RGB on it, via the VGA plug ? Does the chassi autoswitch by itseft ? Pic of the 15khz wiring would be nice

Dunno, but i bet it would work as well.
I don't have anything connected to the rgb connector under the vga socket on the chassis.

With a JVS cab ok but how could you use a jvs2jamma with a blast city anyway?

Re: Sanwa PFX GET! (Sometimes I think I'm the luckiest guy...)
Jvs = Jamma video standard. Basically its like Jamma 2. Its what Naomi and taito stuff is Im pretty sure.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JAMMA
So how this would work I think is, even though I have a jamma cabinet, New Astro, I use a jvs to jamma adapter. This gives you vga. I hook the vga off the Sanwa PFX to the Jvs to jamma adapter. I think one of these:
http://www.sega-naomi.com/Iframes/hardware_iframe.htm
Then since it hooks up naomi to jamma, you hook up your jamma board. Then monitor should auto switch from 31k to 15k if thats what you are playing. In my case SF3 3s. So I think he is basically saying that its an easy way to use the VGA connection for both your 31k jvs stuff and your 15k jamma stuff off the same connection without having to wire the 15k seperatly. Im just guessing. Too bad these adapters are expensive. The capcom one doesnt require seperate power but has **** audio amp and the sega one needs seperate power. From I understand. Im a straight noob so...
But Im not sure if its the same as this:
