I remember before KC went down that someone had highlighted the differences between the original Vewlix and the new black and white model. Does anyone still have those details handy?

I`m wondering why the Vewlix Cabs don`t have an HDMI or DVI port, just VGA......that makes sense?! :?

Probably just based around their own hardware, I assume the Type X2 dosen't have them either :P

type X 2 and the "regular" Vewlix are DVI
type X 2 output from its graphics card is DVI, but uses a VGA gender convertor and as default the vewlix has only got a VGA cable connected up - the monitor can accept input either via its VGA port or DVI

Also, my Type-X (not X+ or X2) won't synch up over DVI-D, only DVI-A (which is equivalent to D-sub). I was pretty disappointed about that cause it takes away the entire advantage of using DVI in the first place. I think it has to do with Windows Embedded being profiled to a static hardware configuration, and DVI-D/DVI-A is usually autodetected by the ATI driver when you plug in the cable.

If I remember correctly (since I had a japanese guy at work translate that graphic for me) the only real differences between the full blown vewlix and the "light" vewlix were the lack of a power supply, lack of translucent red parts, and a cheaper monitor. I don't know how much worse the monitor is, or how much whatever power supply they are using is, but something tells me it's not worth 1500 dollars

Oh, and just in case someone else asks anything else about that graphic, the G and D cabinets are the namco and delta32 cabinets respectively if I'm not mistaken.

Do you mean that the grey to grey response time is higher on the L or that there is less input delay?

The Vewlix F SANWA monitor *apparently* has a lower millisecond response then the Vewlix L monitor.
...but they still have not given me the spec...
