Can you help me sense check my MS2932 setup before I turn it on please!
Ok, so I think I have everything done and ready to power on for the first time, but I want to get a sense check to make sure I am not doing anything wrong! I've never done this before, so very nervous!
I believe I have the yoke wires connected correctly, but I assume even if they are the wrong way round, I just turn it off and turn them around if the picture is oriented wrong?
I have connected the red wires for what I assume is the degausing circuit, but I have no idea if they need to be connected a certain way? Its just two unmarked red wires, so no idea if there is + or -
I have used dialetric grease on the anode cup, careful not to put any on the raised area in the centre
I've fitted the board and the ground wire from the monitor
So I think that's it and I am good to go?
I dont have a cab or the original PSU, so I have purchased a 110v step down transformer and will unplug the power lead from the chassis itself (rather than use the molex connector) and plug a new cable directly into the board itself? I purchased this one from ebay
I am also going to unplug the video connector from the board and have made my own wiring to connect to an Ultimarc VGA connector, to connect to my ArcadeVGA card. I assume I can just use the combined sync, but I can split sync if needed.
So thats it, do you think I am good to go and turn it all on, or have I missed anything?
Thank you for any help, I know its basic stuff for you guys, but I dont want to damage anything, Its taken me a long time to find one of these monitors and chassis in good condition!!

Re: Can you help me sense check my MS2932 setup before I turn it on please!
Wiring looks good to me and as you said yoke wires only need to be flipped if the wrong way , the only thing I'd be a bit iffy on is I've never ran a monitor through a step down only it was always through an isolation transformer, I beleve it ls ok but not best practice
<trk>:I remember catching a big fat one and my friend said "throw it back in, that one already tastes like wood"

No issue with running Nanaos through stepdowns.
Looks good, @epicnerdrage. Plug it in.

Thanks for the help all
One more question, do I need to earth the metal frame? The plug is only a 2 pin US lead going into my 110v step down, so no 3rd earth pin anywhere. The screen is not in an original cab, nor is it using the original power supply. Should I attach an earth from the frame to a proper ground (such as using an earth only plug into the mains and clip that to the chassis?)

You are running it outside a cab?
You can try earthing it. If it creates visible interference that annoys you, take it off.

You can earth the frame, yes.
Is it absolutely necessary? No.
